Last time out, the letter of the day was J…scratch that, double it…JJ…as in Jonquel Jones who absolutely crushed her 9.5 rebound line to haul in 13. Let’s see what we can cook up today with a couple of rookies.

New York Liberty (-11) at Chicago Sky (+470) | O/U 163 (-112/-108)
Kamilla Cardoso is 7-6 against this 8.5-line over her last 13 games and of those six Unders, three times she finished with eight rebounds meaning she has pulled down 8+ boards in 10 of her last 13 games. When Cardoso plays 27+ minutes, her record jumps to 7-2 during that stretch. The Brazilian is coming off a seven-rebound performance in Thursday’s loss to these same Liberty but that was the second half of a back-to-back and Cardoso only saw 20 minutes. Her seven boards in 20 minutes put her on pace for 9.45 rebounds had she reached the aforementioned 27-minute threshold.
Additionally, Breanna Stewart is questionable for the Liberty with a hamstring issue. If Stewie is ultimately unable to suit up or plays assumingly somewhat compromised, there should be plenty of room inside for Cardoso to battle for at least nine rebounds. It won’t be a cakewalk with former WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones’ physical presence down low, but nine rebounds is simply too low, especially given the circumstances. If Stewie is a no-go, hammer the Over even harder.
WNBA Picks: Kamilla Cardoso Over 8.5 Rebounds (-120)
Los Angeles Sparks (+142) at Dallas Wings (-3.5) | O/U 171.5 (-110/-110)
In the late game, we have another no-brainer. Rickea Jackson has scored 12+ points in four of her last five games and seven of her last twelve. During those 12 games, she is 6-0 against this number when she sees at least 29 minutes. This point line remains deflated after Jackson was held to just six points on Tuesday. However, those six points came against a Minnesota Lynx defense that is arguably the best in the W, with opponents averaging just 74.6 points. Dallas is on the other side of the spectrum, allowing a WNBA-worst 89.7 PPG, so she should have no problem surpassing 12 points against the matador defense of the Wings.
Jackson started the season as the forgotten LA rookie, as the Tennessee star flew below the reader despite being a top draft pick. She has begun to find herself as a pro and that should continue this afternoon in the Big D.
WNBA Picks: Rickea Jackson Over 11.5 Points (-115)
