Regulated sources of gaming recognised by Pennsylvania include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals.

Of these gaming segments, revenue from retail slots continued to reign supreme, as it did this time last year, with $185.6m generated for the month.

The closest revenue-reaching segment to retail shots was iGaming slots, which saw revenue rise 36% year-on-year to $86.6m for the month.

Furthermore, the biggest segment riser was iGaming tables, which saw GGR go up 43% from the prior-year period to $39.5m.

However, revenue from sports wagering suffered the most in November, falling by 17% on the amount generated in the prior-year period.

The Hollywood Casino Morgantown saw the greatest year-on-year revenue increase from all sources, making $7.5m this November as opposed to $307,000 in November 2021.

The state’s biggest revenue-generating destination, Hollywood Casino at Penn National, also saw its revenue increase year-on-year by 19%, reporting $71.2m for the month.

At the other end of the scale, Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin saw its revenue fall the furthest, generating $1.5m for November 2022 compared to $1.9m in November 2021.

Presque Isle Downs and Casino also had a not-so-inspiring month, with November 2022 revenue of $8.2m down 22% year-on-year.

But margin gains across the board at Pennslyvania’s gaming locations have helped it to a 5% year-on-year increase in revenue. The state was able to generate $181.8m in tax from all gaming sources.
