New Softswiss insights reveal online casino player behaviour

softswissListen To Article

Softswiss has released insights into online casino player behaviour across three key regions: Europe, Latin America and Asia.

The findings are based on data analysis of player profiles from Softswiss’ casino platform, spanning from September 2022 to August 2023.

Based on the data, Europe is the largest online casino market in the world, with eight times more active players than Latin America and an 18-fold increase compared to Asia.

Mobile devices are the preferred choice for gaming in Europe, with 68% of players using them. Gender distribution is balanced, with 47% male players and 18% female players. Meanwhile, the 31–40 age group favours slot games.

In Latin America, 69% of active players opted for mobile devices. Male players dominated, comprising the majority, while 17% were female. Additionally, players aged 31-40 represent 21% of the total market.

Latin American players tend to place smaller, but more frequent, bets with a strong affinity for sports betting, particularly football.

Over 71% of players in Asia prefer mobile betting. Female players account for only 6%. Players aged 31-40 are the most common demographic. Slot games dominate the market, making up over 80% of all games.

In addition to these regional insights, this year Softswiss integrated MetaMask, a cryptocurrency wallet, into its online casino platform. This initiative aims to simplify the depositing process for players.

Softswiss also collaborated with BetGames and provided resources to operators, including the online casino budget calculator, a tool to help operators plan expenses, manage risks and optimise returns.
