WPT Global has announced the addition of online poker professional and streamer Patrick ‘Egption’ Tardif as a new brand ambassador. Tardif will represent WPT Global at online tables and in its weekend tournaments.
Tardif, who transitioned from being a professional Halo player to poker, has made a name for himself in the online poker community through his performances in tournaments and his streaming career.
Tardif commented: “I am eager to join WPT Global as an ambassador. WPT Global’s commitment to innovation and delivering a world-class poker experience aligns perfectly with my passion for the game. I can’t wait to start connecting with the community and battle in the huge tournaments & cash games WPT Global has to offer.”
In addition to this new appointment, WPT Global has renewed its contract with Liu, who has been an ambassador for the platform. Liu has been active in promoting poker and engaging with the community.
Liu stated: “I am excited to continue my journey with WPT Global. The brand’s dedication to giving players the best possible experience and its innovative approach to protecting and enhancing the game have always resonated with me. I’m looking forward to another year of representing WPT Global and engaging with the poker community.”
Alex Scott of WPT Global commented on the ambassadors, saying: “Having both Patrick and Xuan representing WPT Global is a tremendous honour. Patrick’s extensive experience at the top level of MTTs and his innovative approach to streaming is our brand. Meanwhile, Xuan’s proven track record and deep understanding of poker continues to inspire our community, bringing more players to the game and the WPT Global brand.”
In April 2024, the platform hosted the Spring Festival, which featured over $7m in guaranteed prizes. The festival, which ran from 5 May 5 to 26 May, included events such as the $500,000 GTD Spring Festival Championship and the $1m GTD WPT Championship Event. Players received 100% rakeback on all tournaments.
Additionally, WPT Global has been selected to host the inaugural Macau event in collaboration with Allied Gaming & Entertainment and Wynn Resorts. This event will mark the first World Poker Tour event in Macau, expanding the tour’s global reach.
