During the event, SBK branding will be seen across the site at Doncaster Racecourse, as part of its sponsorship deal with Arena Racing Company. It will be involved with all race titles across both days of the meet. In addition, SBK will host a flat season preview prior to the start of racing on the Saturday, which will include special guest insights as well as promotional guest offers.

Worth £100,000 ($133,750), the SBK Lincoln is a one-mile heritage handicap race; it is seen as the main opener for the British flat racing season.

Since its first run at Doncaster in 1965, recent winners have included Haqeeqy in 2021, trained by John and Thady Gosden, and William Haggas-trained Addeybb in 2018.

Favourites this year are currently Mujtaba at 5/1 and Modern News at 7/1.

This latest collaboration for SBK follows other recent sponsorship deals, such as the Grade 1 SBK Clarence House Chase at Ascot. SBK also sponsors the trainer George Boughey and has several jockey ambassadors, such as Sean Levey and Nicola Currie.

Adam Baylis, SBK Head of Customer Marketing, said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Lincoln as part of SBK’s growing horseracing portfolio. The heritage handicap holds a special place in the racing calendar as the first major race of the British flat season and we look forward to being part of its rich history.”

David Leydan Dunbar, ARC Group Director of Partnerships, added: “We are delighted to welcome SBK to Doncaster Racecourse and the Lincoln meeting. The race is a hugely important part of the programme at Doncaster as the British summer flat season officially gets underway, and SBK will be an excellent partner for the meeting.”
